20. June 2016

How do you manage to successfully compete in the international market since three generations? What wows customers and employees to the customized high-performance valves and wellheads?
On the 70th anniversary Hartmann Valves opened its doors for the first time and offered for three days a full program which trade visitors and locals attended largely.

At its foundation place and Ehlershausen the Celle company celebrated its 70th anniversary from June 9 to June 11. Starting as a small company in the postwar period Hartmann Valves today has got 150 employees and is a growing international system provider. That tradition and innovation can successfully be combined already showed the warm welcome of the whole entrepreneurial family each day.

During a customer forum with more than 130 guests from home and abroad on Thursday renowned industry representatives had their say. In user presentations they gave interesting insights into their projects and introduced the application of Hartmann solutions in the fields of crude oil, gas storage, petrochemical and geothermal energy. The participants were favorably impressed by the overall concept, the ambience and especially by the expertise of the “Hartmen” which was presented by the Hartmann staff during plant tours and at the lectern as well.

On Friday Hartman Valves thanked its dedicated staff with a big celebration – with colorful program from a Bodyflying facility to nightly fireworks. The Managing Directors Ute Hartmann and Carsten Braun know who the basis for the company’s success is. “Without you – who would we be?” were the opening words to the employees. Many of them have been serving Hartmann since over 20 years.

On Saturday, June 11, 2016, for the first time an open day for everyone was organized. In bright sunlight more than 500 guests accepted the invitation. During the official opening Burgdorf Mayor Alfred Baxmann and Celle Mayor Dirk-Ulrich Mende complimented the foresightedness and entrepreneurial skill over decades. So even in these difficult times in the oil and gas industry Hartmann Valves is well prepared for the future. Flexibility, quality, and a broad spectrum in the industries are the key to success. Supporting the “hidden champion” also in case of continuing growth and expansion is the stated goal of both towns.

A vivid summary of the company’s history was presented to the visitors by the former CEO Wolfgang Genannt and by means of numerous exhibitions in the premises. The factory tours and impressive exhibits also on Saturday were of keen interest. Information about job and training opportunities as well as a children’s program with bouncy castle, face painting and pony rides completed the program.
