At the leading trade fair for industrial valves, the Valve World Expo 2016 in Düsseldorf, Hartmann Valves presented his brand new booth concept. The bright design with impressive constructions, new messages and 3D product animations attracted many visitors. Numerous international customers and partners took the opportunity to meet the Hartmann team and to learn more about our ball valve and wellhead solutions.

At the world’s longest subsea natural gas pipeline an upgrade of the pipeline’s valve system was realized. With this project Nord Stream wanted to reduce the maintenance effort, extend the life cycle and ensure reliable sealing on this important route between Wyborg (Russia) and Lubmin (Germany). The new system consisting of Fahlke actuators, control unit and Hartmann ball valves could fulfill the high requirements regarding safety, temperature, pressure and corrosion standards and deliver a lifetime of many decades.

Thanks to its special geology Iceland already uses geothermal energy since centuries. For further enhancements Icelandic experts are also interested in exchanging with German geothermal and drilling experts. In November 2016 the Iceland Geothermal Cluster invited a delegation of GeoEnergy Celle e.V. to a meeting in Reykjavík, which was also joined by Maurice Walter from Hartmann Valves.

High performance ball valves of Hartmann Valves can increase operational safety and reduce maintenance effort in highly demanding process conditions. Designed for customer specific needs, they are available for temperatures from -200 °C up to +550 °C, pressures up to 700 bar, aggressive media and high cycle applications.

The Twin Ball Valve (TBV) developed by Hartmann Valves provides a double line barrier and enables a significant increase of safety without much effort. Designed for applications with especially high safety requirements, the TBV consists of two integrated ball valves, which can be equipped with two independent barriers each. Thereby the safety can be raised by factor 4 compared to a standard valve.

Following the well attended Open Day in June 2016 the local clubs and associations at the foundation place of Hartmann Valves had good reason to be pleased:

How do you manage to successfully compete in the international market since three generations? What wows customers and employees to the customized high-performance valves and wellheads?
On the 70th anniversary Hartmann Valves opened its doors for the first time and offered for three days a full program which trade visitors and locals attended largely.

At this year’s “GeoTHERM expo & congress” on 25./26. February in Offenburg (Germany) Hartmann Valves, again, was represented within the joint booth of GeoEnergy Celle. The interest in our experiences made in deep geothermal projects, as well as in our wellheads, ball valves, and our services was great again – no matter whether visitors came from Germany or abroad: One topic of the collateral “International Geothermal Energy Conference IGC” this year was the prospective geothermal market in Turkey.

Hartmann Valves celebrates its 70th anniversary in the form of a customer event on June 9, 2016 at the German Hartmann facilities. Users from different fields of industry present their process requirements, solutions and experience with Hartmann products. Furthermore, our experts share their detailed knowledge regarding plant security and availability aspects.

As one of the first companies worldwide Uniper Energy Storage GmbH demonstrates a way how renewable energy can be stored in the natural gas grid in order to make production independent from consumption. For the demonstration plant in Falkenhagen (Germany) Hartmann Valves supplied 24 ball valves assuring a maximum of operational safety and plant availability.
