Hartmann Valves has been manufacturing wellheads, ball valves and associated components to the highest standards for over seven decades. Our products are made to withstand harsh environments and designed to last. We are fully committed to quality and safety. Since the wellhead is such an important part of the well barrier, we recommend performing periodic inspections to make sure the wellhead components are in an adequate condition. Not only time is working against us also various challenges in a production life of a well are influencing the wellhead condition. Obviously a leaking seal, flange connection or valve would have a dramatic impact on the integrity and could become a major safety hazard. Events like this need to be avoided and regular documented checks are minimizing the risk.
Therefore, we have worked out two types of maintenances; the basic inspection with a standard scope and secondly a premium inspection with a more comprehensive check list. The basic inspection in this example includes the visual inspection for corrosion and leakages, hydraulic oil and nitrogen tests of seals as well as the potential re-activation and re-testing of those. The premium inspection is additionally checking bolted connections, testing the valves and actuators / gear boxes. The details of this approach are also summarized in the list shown on the following pages. The marked boxes indicate which steps are included in the respective type of inspection. Please note our inspections are also available for third-party equipment providing that supporting documentation is available.
Based on our experience and the feedback from our clients we recommend performing the basic inspection once a year in turns with the premium check which is recommended every two years. This is just a generic recommendation. We are happy to work out a specific maintenance and inspection plan tailor-made for your equipment and requirements.
